2026 Illinois Jr Celtics Tackle Football

As we prepare for another great Fall season, we want to share an important update regarding our Volunteer Requirement Policy for Tackle Football. Like many youth organizations, our program depends on the support of volunteers to ensure things run smoothly each week. We appreciate your partnership in making this a successful season for our athletes.

WHY VOLUNTEERS MATTER
Our organization relies on parent and family volunteers to support game-day operations and team events. Your participation helps create a positive, organized experience for all athletes.

FAMILY REQUIREMENT
Each family is required to complete two (2) volunteer opportunities per child enrolled in the program during the season.
• 1 child: 2 volunteer opportunities
• 2 children: 4 volunteer opportunities

VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT REQUIRED
A $100 volunteer deposit per family is required at Equipment Handout.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
We will accept Check (preferred), Zelle, or Cash. Deposits will not be cashed or used unless the volunteer requirement is not fulfilled. Payments will be held securely throughout the Fall season. Once volunteer obligations are completed and equipment is returned, deposits will be:

• Shredded or returned (if paid by check)
• Returned/refunded (if paid by Zelle or cash)

EXEMPTIONS
Coaches and Team Managers are exempt from the volunteer requirement and family deposit.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Illinois Jr Celtics Tackle Football - Program Information

Illinois Jr Celtics Tackle Football

The Illinois Jr. Celtics are excited for the upcoming football season!
While we can’t predict the results, one thing is certain: our student-athletes will be disciplined, well-conditioned, smart, well-coached, and will finish the season as better football players and young men. Everything else is a bonus.

About Pop Warner Football
Pop Warner football began in 1929 when founder Joseph J. Tomlin created a four-team conference in Northeast Philadelphia. Since then, participation has steadily grown to record numbers. Today, hundreds of thousands of youths participate in Pop Warner-sanctioned football programs nationwide—and those numbers continue to rise.

Did you know Pop Warner football is safer than soccer?
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (NEISS), Pop Warner football has 12% fewer injuries per capita among 5–14-year-olds than organized soccer in the same age range!

Football Includes:

  • Helmets
  • Shoulder pads
  • Game & practice jerseys
  • Game pants

Game pants and jerseys are yours to keep at the end of the season. Helmets and shoulder pads must be returned.

Parents/Guardians are responsible for purchasing:

  • Football cleats
  • 5 Pad Girdle and Cup
  • Mouthguard (with connected strap)
  • Game socks (Black)
