Scholastic Fitness Policy
To participate in our program, every student‑athlete must demonstrate steady academic progress. Players are expected to maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average (70%) or higher to remain eligible. When grades are unclear, disputed, or when an official report card is not available, the nationally approved scholastic eligibility form will be used as the final determination of academic standing.
It’s important to note that this requirement is part of Pop Warner’s national standards. Individual teams, leagues, or associations cannot raise or alter these minimum academic expectations. Additionally, no athlete or squad may advance to regional or national postseason events unless all scholastic requirements have been satisfied.
If a Player Does Not Meet the 2.0/70% Minimum
We recognize that some students may fall short of the academic minimum at the time of certification. In these cases, athletes may remain eligible by completing and submitting the official Scholastic Eligibility Form.
This form is specifically designed for participants who have not yet met the 2.0 GPA/70% benchmark. To qualify for continued play, the form must be submitted along with a recent progress report or updated report card demonstrating academic improvement. This document must fall within the required date range set for the season.
If no updated academic documentation is provided within the designated window, the athlete will unfortunately be considered ineligible for the remainder of the season.
